Davison, Michigan lies situated along the eastern border of Genesee County. Located about 10 miles east of Flint, Davison encompasses a city within a township, where residents enjoy an excellent quality of life.

As of the 2000 census, the township affiliated with Davison reported 17,722 residents. The city of Davison accounts for 5,536 of that total. A cavalcade of American flags along Davison's downtown shopping area pay homage to the nickname of the "City of Flags".
